Johanna was confirmed in 1834, aged 17, and lived in Angelseth, Ringsaker

- Ida Mary (1880 – ?) married Frank Colbath (1871) and had 2 children: Mabel (1898) and John Benjamin Franklin (1900-1925). She possibly later married Albert Anderson (1885)
- Edward (1882 – 1929) married Leda Williams (1891-1957), and they had 7 children: Anton (1908), Clifford (1909-2004), Gilbert (1911-1967), Hattie (1914), Norma (1917), Ida Mae (1923) and, Thelma (1925). After Edward died Leda married Rickard Brock.

- Married Barbara (Barbo) Eriksdatter (1849 – 1928) in 1875 Wisconsin and they had the following children
- 1852 — Antonette (1852-1924) married to Gulbrand Halvorsen (1847, Nes, Oppland). They probably didn’t have any children. They lived in Lillehammer and Oslo before moving to Fredheim, Tangen by 1910.
- 1861 — Johanne Hansdtr (1861, Saugstadbakken, Ringsaker – 1942, Tangen, Stange).
Johanne Jensdatter was now a widow and the father of this child was Hans Andersen from Lille Melum according to the birth record. There is a Local History page for her in Norwegian which says her father was Ole Simensen Lier Refling but I have found no evidence for this in the chirch records, although one of her daughters later used the surname.- married to Hans Peter Olsen Hagen (1862, Biri), a miller. They lived in Stange, Ringerike and had the following children:
- Inga Lovise Hagen (1887, Gjøvik). She possibly emigrated to the US in about 1905.
- Hjalmar Hagen (1890, Stange – 1971), probably emigrated to the US where he changed his name to Joe. He married Blanche Harrington (1895-1966) and had 2 daughters: Mary Elisabeth (1916-2005) and June (1921-2002)
- Gustav Adolf Hagen (1892 – 1881). He emigrated to the US in 1908 and worked there as an architect for churches as well as houses and he later received the Olav’s medal for this work. After retirement, he returned to Norway, to his childhood home Fredheim (Memorial in Norwegian).
- Ingeborg Nansy Refling Hagen (1895 – 1989). She was an author, poet, and artistic director (Wikipedia).
- Hilda Johanne Hagen (1898 – 1972), a teacher
- Ragna Charlotte Joselin Hagen (1902-1960) married Eivind Olafsen Groven (1901-1977). They had 4 children Aslaug, Tone, Dagne & Gudmund.

Johanne died 15 March 1904 at Fredheim, Stange, of bronchitis. .
