He eventually married Ingebjørg Hansdatter in 1817, 16 years later. They had three children, Åsa, Cecilia & Ole (see below)

Other information

I have not been able to find where Lars and Ingebjørg Nilsdatter met. Kari must have been conceived around August 1800, six months before the 1801 Census. By the February 1801 Census she was living in Bagne with her parents. His parents were still living in Sandvin at the time of the 1801 census but he was not living with them at this time. There is a relationship between the families of Lars and Ingebjørg. Lars father, Ole, had a child with Ingebjørg’s mother, Herborg, in 1668. It is possible that Ingebjørg was visiting or working at Lars’ parents farm and that when she discovered she was pregnant she went back home to her parents and Lars disappeared elsewhere. There is a 1801 Census record for a Lars Olsson, listed as service boy on one of the Aga farms in Ullensvang, which may possibly be him.

I have found a church record for the death of a Lars Olsson who died 25 December 1832 at Ragde, Odda. The age fits and location is plausible.
