He married Herborg Nilsdatter on 28 May 1798 in Ulvik church. He lived at Hetlenes and she at Tveito. They went on to live at Ure, a smallholding/croft under Hjeltnes.

    • Married Ragnhild Sjursdatter from Rondestveit (1788-1883) but later divorced. She remarried.
    • They had two daughters:
      1. Malena (1827-1914) married to Asbjørn Davidsson Måbø
      2. Herborg (1838-1928) married Jakob Olsson Tveit
    • Took over the farm at Ure after his parents but didn’t live there by 1865 at which point he was a welfare recipient.
  4. 1806 – Hallstein, born 1806 at Ure and died ca 1858 Kvåle (Conflicting dates)

  5. 1809 – Sigrid born 4 March 1809, died
  6. 1810 – Sigrid, born 9 July 1810 at Ure and died ~ 1998 at Vambheim
    • Married Ola Asgautsson Vambheim (1797-1879) in 1840
      • They had a son Ola Olsson (1840-1911) who later lived at Fryste and took the name Frøystein
  7. 1813 – Lars, born 15 April 1813 at Ure, moved to Rondestveit
