[<em>FSID:GH5Q-XYH<\/em>]<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Census data<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>1865 : <a href=\"https:\/\/media.digitalarkivet.no\/view\/38231\/53\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" title=\"Church record: Census data\">Kvinnherad Census<\/a>  has Lars (age 20) living in <strong>Haugedunbakken<\/strong> with his parents, John Larsen (48) and Kari Hansdatter (53) and 3 siblings, Engeborg (16), Kari (14) &amp; Hans (7). Lars is a shoemaker<\/li><li>1875 : <a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitalarkivet.no\/ft20110203660168\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tysnes: Vattedal<\/a> \u2014 has Lars and Kari with their son John, daughter Kari and a servant. Lars is listed as  farmer and &#8216;Jagtebygger&#8217;. He is the owner of  their farm (bnr  395b). They had 4 cows, 9 sheep and a pig and grew potatoes and oats.<\/li><li>1891 : <a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitalarkivet.no\/ft10061202315876\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tysnes: Vattedal<\/a> \u2014 They are still living at the farm and they have 5 of the children living with them, Margrethe is missing, and they have no live-in servant.  As well as farming Lars now owns his farm and is a house builder.<\/li><li>1900 : <a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitalarkivet.no\/ft20101110700076\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tysnes: Vattedal<\/a> (farm 141 Bnr 2) \u2014 Lars&#8217; wife Kari has now died.  As well as a farmer Lars is now a carpenter. His son John is still a sailor but also a carpenter and married to Anna Hansdatter. They are both are living on the farm in their own household.  Although still living at home, their son Lars Johan was at sea, probably in New York.<\/li><li>1910 : <a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitalarkivet.no\/census\/person\/pf01036670005230\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tysnes: Vattedal<\/a> (farm 141 Bnr 2) \u2014 Lars is running the farm and being a lumberjack\/carpenter.  His daughter Margrete is now back home and running the house.  She and my grandmother Kari are listed as servants.
