David was born in Osa on 17 April 1920. He wanted to travel the world so set off to sea. I have found ships records for entry to the USA where he is listed as crew. I know he crossed the equator on at least one of his sailings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When he came back to Norway he joined the local police and worked as a sheriff in various places on the west coast. During the war, he continued to work for the police whilst providing information to the resistance. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

He met my mother at his sister’s house and they married in 1947. He went back to school in the evenings where he studied law and he graduated as a lawyer in 1955. He later worked at the City Hall where one new years eve he married 1 couple every minute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He died from lung cancer on 5 September 1965.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
